Shana Lee Gibson was born in a log cabin situated in the beauty and simplicity of the North Country. Her love of nature combined with her active imagination made her a natural storyteller right from the start. When Shana moved to Pender Harbour at the age of 22, she was given the oppurtunity to produce, direct and edit 2 video projects for media use. The mentorship gained from Marilyn Magas gave Shana the confidence to continue creating innovative projects and material. She found her voice and began writing inspirational articles, producing her own radio show and creating documentaries. ‘Young Documentary Filmmakers,’ is a thought that Shana had in which youth in isolated community’s are given the opportunity through mentorship by Film Industry professionals to create a Documentary. She is happy with the outcome of YDF and hopes that everyone is inspired by Ben’s story.
